Chapter: "The Country at Nile"

THE COUNTRY AT NILE

All ancient structures kept up to now have one general feature: sharp corners and forms smooth out and become swollen, washed in thousand rains and winds.
It is possible not to know, what such step pyramid Gzhorer is, but only having looked at its photo, you will tell at once, that it is very old.
"The Father of History", the Greek scientist Gerodot visited Egypt five centuries B.C, and left the description of pyramids which have already been some thousands years old by that time. But another thing greatly impressed me. The Egyptian priest Manefon in the IV century B.C decided to write the history of his country. We know his book "The History of Egypt" only in retellings.
Thousand years of Egyptian history had sunk into oblivion by the time Manefon had undertaken the manuscript, the history of his own people was a riddle in many respects for Manefon himself.
The antiquity of Egypt impresses greatly. Its history, beginning from the Ancient Empire (2900-2700 up to AD) and finishing with Psametikh's rout by Persian tsar Kambizom in 525 up to AD, is full of wars, contentions and political strike for authority. Nevertheless, in spite of catastrophies, shocks and periods of anarchy, Egypt existed as a whole for three milleniums, created a unique culture and has left the monuments, not ceasing to amaze imagination.
All this was very entertaining, but first of all I was interested in the knowledge on Ancient Egypt. I was imposed with books and soon I found out with great surprise the duality of the impressions.
On the one hand, Egyptians knew much and much were able to do. They could read and write. They wrote with a reed stick on long papyrian rolls in the length up to 30-40 meters. The papyrus itself was manufactured in a very entertaining way: the middle of papyrus's stalk was cut into very thin stripes and they were put near one another and against each other, and they beat them off and pressed until they were stuck with one another, reminding a modern sheet of paper.
Egyptians calculated the area of sites of the ground including round ones not bad. They were able to address pyramids. We are taught these things only in the senior and rather good astronomical knowledge accessible to them so, as far as the human eye's sharpness can be. They could predict lunar and solar eclipses.
All this knowledge was studied in the House of Life - the Egyptian higher school. They were taught to astronomy, magic and spells there. The House of Life - it's difficult to make up a more successful name. If to add the knowledge of Egyptians in the field of agriculture, shipbuilding, doing a joiner's work, a stone - mason's work and wearing, we'll get a rather solid register.
On the other hand, we see a picture of Ancient Egypt in the spirit of quite a historical materialism: the early slaveholding state with elements of feudalism, with weight of superstitions and senseless religious - mystical ceremonies. It is possible to smile indulgently from the XX century… But it is impossible… first of all owing out of to high spirituality of the ancient Egyptian art.
Arts on granite pedestals brought from ancient Thebes, I had been looking for a long time in their fine hardly lengthened eyes. The unknown master was immeasurably close to the intuitive overtaking the Truth, than we were with our "mighty" technical civilization. The sphinxes have an amazing expression of persons, which we perceive as FLYING. There's the same flying spirituality on the golden mask of pharaoh Tutanchamon. It is possible to took in these eyes indefinitely, eternally…
Pyramids have also a number of mysterious properties. Cheh Charles Drbal has found out, that the used shaving edges self-sharpen if to place them in the subject to rotting in much smaller degree than outside of them. A member of such facts have caused to life the whole stream of hypotheses and guesses from occult up to solidly argued.
With exact knowledge of Egyptians business it is not so simple, either. As assumed, they are about the existence of two satellites of Mars. Meanwhile, it's possible to see them only in a strong telescope. We find quite certain instructions that Egyptians' knowledge was much deeper, than we have got used to think and besides they had rather original character.
Evolution of the Egyptian spirit is reflected in "The Egyptian Book of Dead", "Great Taro Lassos", "Emerald Germs' Table…" But nothing is practically said about the mysterious cylinders.
In one of the books I have encountered a phrase: ...Passing from one tribe to another, the cylindrical seals and other Sumer goods all the same have found road to a valley of Nile and for some time they we used there at a great demand. One word - "cylindrical" made me stop. Seals It is interesting. And it means that images were at end faces.. We shall go to Ancient Sumer in this case.
And at last there are photos of Sumer seals in front of me. A small cylinder, drilled on a longitudinal axis, owners carried on their neck, on a lace. The figure was not at end faces, but on a laternal surface of the cylinder. The seal-cylinder was rolled on soft clay. Then the clay tablet was dried up and there was a relief print on it. Set of such stamps and "certified" tables reached our time.
As one of Sumer tables says, a certain swindler tried to seize a fine garden at the unfortunate widow, which she got when her husband Dud was alive. Swindle did not go right, as the widow had the table confirming her rights for the garden. The case was solved for the benefit of the widow.
So, seals were carried on a neck and they were not of a big size. Mysterious cylinders were more than this. Again not that...
